YouTube To Revise Its Monetization Policy From 20th February

In a recent development, the content makers at YouTube need to abide by new rules as the video-sharing giant has revised its monetization policy which will take place from 20th February. According to new policy, a content creator need to have at least 4,000 hours of overall watch time on their channel in the last 12 months. Moreover, the number of minimum subscribers to a particular channel has to be at least 1,000.

In order to make money, all the channels need to meet this very requirement by 20th February. If someone does not obey the deadline then he won’t be able to make income from ads.

There wasn’t any specific viewing requirement for the monetization. However, the standard was at least 10,000 public views. This new move is likely to affect small channels, new content creators but it will also ensure transparency and according to YouTube, this will also eradicate all the ‘bad actors’ if they do not comply with the standards.
